Germline genetics is becoming increasingly important not only to understand cancer development in children but also to prepare for individual therapy modification and personalized surveillance programs. The Clinic for Pediatric Oncology, -Hematology and Clinical immunology Düsseldorf (Prof Arndt Borkhardt) has, together with support from the Department of Medical Informatics and Biomathematics at the University of Münster (Prof Martin Dugas) established a TRIO sequencing pipeline offering germline genetic diagnostics to affected children, their parents and in case a classical predisposition syndrom is identified to healthy siblings.

This Mini Symposium will give insight into the TRIO Sequencing pipeline and first efforts for implementation in the Pediatric Oncology at the TU Dresden.
