The focus of my group is to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms of lung pathology. In this group, the focus will be on the following projects:
The role of microbiome and virome sensing in the lung in homeostasis and infection: In this work package, We would like to understand how microbiota in the lung are sensed via both TLR/MyD88 and RIGI systems.
- The cross talk between innate and adaptive immune response (Immune training).
- Epigenetic modification in both innate and adaptive immune cells after severe infections in the lung and gut and their extended effect on other non-communicable diseases like allergic diseases.
- The role of EVs in altering the epigenome of the lung via Particulate Matter pollutant particles.
