Training goals
- Imparting knowledge and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of common urological diseases (e.g. tumor diseases of the urogenital tract, bladder emptying disorders, urinary incontinence, stone disease, malformations and functional disorders of the urinary tract and the genital system).
Complex topics
- The internship includes examining patients on the wards including sonography and digital rectal examination. Every student takes part in endoscopic operations and X-ray examinations as well as in the surgical program with the option of inserting an indwelling bladder catheter. At the Department of Urology you can lern a wide range of diagnostics (ultrasound, transrectal ultrasound, contrast x-rays, urodynamics, urine laboratory, cystoscopy and prostate biopsy) and insertation of an indwelling bladder catheter. In the colloquia, important areas ofr urology are discussed in more detail. If you are interested, an ultrasound course can be offered in the afternoon.
