Interdisciplinary urological tumorboard

In order to offer the best therapy to our patients, who are suffering from complex and advanced cancers, we offer the chance of a case presentation in one of our twice a week held urological tumorboard sessions. The cases of our patients will be discussed interdisciplinary in order to provide individual therapy concepts, based on a high level medical expertise. The team of experts of the tumorboard session includes urologists, radiotherapists, pathologists and clinicians from nuclear medicine. Dependig on the clinical frame of the case there is a chance for clinicians other fields like internal medicine, general surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons or neurosurgeons to attend our urological tumorboard. In the tumorboard session taking place on Wednesday we put emphasis on the rare and complex metastatic cancer diseases, after several therapy lines. In the tumorboard occuring every Thursday, we discuss e.g. the necessity of an adjuvant therapy after surgical procedures held for cancer diseases in locally advanced or in case of lymphogenous metastasis, depending of the histopathological report. Furthermore we offer our very young patients, suffering from rare cancers or having already used the all available standard therapies, the chance to be included in a National Centre for Cancer Diseases (NCT/UCC) after discussing the case in a molecular tumorboard session.

Deadlines:

for the tumorboard on Wednesday with focus metastatic cancer disease until Monday, 12 p.m.
for the tumorboard on Thursday with focus post-operative therapy and local therapy until Tuesday, 12 p.m.
