Incontinence, pelvic floor surgery
Our hospital has a long lasting history of expertise regarding therapy options for urinary incontinence. In our continence clinic, we consult patients who suffer from bladder emptying disorders or urine leakage. In women, these symptoms can occur due to the lowering of pelvic organs or associated weakness of the pelvic floor. However, these symptoms can be significantly reduced by either medical treatment or surgery by sling implantation. In case of surgical treatment, we offer open and laparoscopic robotic-assisted techniques. For these procedures, we can build upon our strong collaboration with our Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics. In addition, we offer a variety of medical und surgical treatment options for our male patients suffering from incontinence such as artificial sphincter implantation or sphincter supporting systems like the ATOMS sling.
