International Tympanoplasty Course Dresden 2022 announced
Participants will acquire knowledge and understanding of biomechanics vital to today’s high end surgery. The course includes expert lectures, live demonstrations of state-of-the-art implant surgery and hands-on experiments using the newest tools and techniques. International guests and faculty from 11 countries are expected to attend this year’s course.
The course is led by Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Thomas Zahnert, Chair of the ENT Clinic of the University Medical Center Dresden, and Prof. Dr. Marcus Neudert, Medical director of ERCD. It is organized in collaboration with Heinz Kurz Medizintechnik.
The surgical courses at the University Medical Center Dresden look back on a long tradition. In 1993, the first International Course on Middle Ear Reconstruction was held here. A special feature of the course are the practical experiments and preparation exercises with a unique real-time acoustic feedback system, which allows participants to directly experience for themselves the quality of hearing improvement.
"The surgical expertise of the ENT Clinic is in demand worldwide and underlines the leading international importance of the University Medical Center Dresden," says Prof. Zahnert.
