At the earliest possible date, we offer a position as

Postdoctoral Researcher in Child and Adolescence Psychiatry (f/m/x) 

in the research group "Experimental Developmental Psychopathology" with a time-limited initial contract. A long-term cooperation is aimed at. The salary will be according to pay grade E13 TV-L.

Our main research concern is the close connection of diagnostics and therapy for children and adolescents, taking into account possible comorbidities in the course of their development (e.g. tic disorders/Tourette's syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder and autism spectrum disorder).

Your responsibilities include the participation in research projects using neuroimaging or neurophysiological methodologies (MRI, EEG), the conceptualization of new projects and further development of our main research areas, publication activities, participation in the acquisition of third-party funds and supervision of doctoral candidates. The aim of the advertised position is to provide comprehensive insight into both clinical research in child and adolescent psychiatric disorders and project-related health care responsibilities in our clinic. Your profile:

  • completed doctorate and a university master/diploma degree in psychology, notification of equivalence for non-German degrees must be available
  • experience in experimental psychology and strong interest in interdisciplinary research (Biological Psychology, Neuroscience) with reference to child and adolescent psychiatric topics
  • knowledge in collection and analysis of MRI or EEG data
  • interest and aptitude for diagnostic and therapeutic work with psychiatric patients
  • above-average organizational and communication skills
  • very good written and spoken English skills
  • very good command of German is necessary
  • a high degree of personal commitment and interest in an academic career
