The Medical Clinic and Policlinic I takes care of patients with a wide range of internal diseases. The main tasks include patient-centered care of patients with cancer, the treatment of infections, gastrointestinal diseases, pulmonary diseases, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. In addition to patient care and teaching, further main activities encompass medical research with a main focus on hematology. These include the implementation of numerous clinical trials, the molecular and cell biology basis research, and translational projects.

Postdoctoral Fellow (f/m)

The research group of Prof. Uwe Platzbecker focusses on translational studies on in myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia. We offer a postdoctoral position to investigate effects on investigational drugs on the bone marrow microenvironment. The area of responsibility will comprise project management duties including supervision of PhD/MD students, data management, grant writing, and publication of research results. We offer numerous national and international as well as inter-group collaborations within the University Hospital of the TU Dresden.

Your profile:

  • University degree and doctorate (PhD or MD/PhD) in biology or another scientific subject
  • Substantial experience and skills in molecular and cell biology techniques
  • Experience in hematology is preferred
  • Excellent Englisch language skills
  • Highly motivated applicant who shares our passion to push the limits in understanding hematology diseases
