The main focus of the research group "Cognitive Neurophysiology" (head: Prof. Dr. Christian Beste) at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy and the Institute of Psychology at the TU Dresden is the investigation of neurophysiological processes underlying higher-level cognitive functions in healthy people and neuropsychiatric diseases.

Post Doc (f/m/x)

This position is for 36 months, a longer perspective is possible

The position is offered as part of different projects funded by the BMBF and the DFG. Goal of the project is to use and develop artificial intelligence methods for the analysis of EEG data in the area of cognitive neuroscience and to use AI methods for clinical questions related to EEG data analysis (e.g., prediction of disease states based on EEG data). The project has basic research and applied aspects. You will work in an interdisciplinary team of neuroscientists, psychologists, biosignal engineers and mathematicians pursuing various neuroscientific projects in the field of neurophysiology of action control processes.

Your Profile:

  • Master's degree in data science, biosignal engineering or mathematics
  • Above-average doctorate in natural science or Engineering
  • Track record of publications relevant for the call
  • Interest in interdisciplinary work
  • Programming skills (Matlab, Python etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills in english
  • Willingness to work independently, responsibly and as part of a team
  • A high level of personal commitment and interest in an academic career
