PhD Student (f/m/x)

The position is part of the Innovative Training Network (ITN) “THERADNET”. The network is devoted to training and innovations in THErapeutic RADiation. It is funded under Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions (H2020-MSCA-ITN-2019, grant agreement number: 860245).

Topic: The cancer cell adhesome for chromatin organization and DNA damage response

The candidate will Identifying the key proteins of the cancer cell adhesome for radiochemosensitivity, unraveling the interaction between integrins and growth factor receptors and characterizing the radiochemosensitizing effects of novel multi-targeting approaches in-vitro and in-vivo.

Your Profile:

  • Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular/Cell Biology or related fields
  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience in experimental techniques covering cell and molecular biology and protein biochemistry
  • Strong background knowledge and experience in cancer Research
  • Good knowledge and practice with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and goal-oriented
  • Very good knowledge of the English language and willingness to work in an international Team
  • At the time of recruitment, the researcher (ESR) must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Germany for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to his/her recruitment under the project.
  • Eligible candidates must be, at the time of the recruitment, in the first four years of their research career and have not been awarded a doctoral degree.

The successful candidates will receive a financial package including mobility and family allowance (if applicable), and will be employed according the rules for Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) in an EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Innovative Training Networks (ITN) and the general regulations of each institution.
