PD Dr. med. Holger S. Willenberg
PD Dr. Willenberg has been working over nearly 20 years with Prof. Bornstein. He explored the role of cytokines in hypercortisolism and the crosstalk of endothelial cells with adrenal cells. In addition to his expertise in experimental systems, he has extensive experience in clinical studies of patients with adrenal diseases. Within the research unit, he will ideally combine with the Eisenhofer, Lenders and Chavakis groups. He is currently at the University of Düsseldorf and has a double appointment with a 25% position in the Department of Medicine at the Technische Universität Dresden fully rejoining the adrenal group.
