Dr. med. Barbara Ludwig
Dr. Ludwig, recently recruited from University of Madison in Wisconsin, is a physician and staff scientist in the Division of Endocrinology within the Department of Medicine. She provides extensive experience in pancreatic islet cell transplantation in human and in animal models. She has recently established successfully the transplantation of islets into the adrenal gland and is directing the human islet transplantation programme in Dresden.
