New employees at ERCD
Dr. -Ing. Zhaoyu Chen
Since 2009 Dr. Chen worked at the Chair of Technical Mechanics at the University of Saarland in Saarbrücken as a research assistant in the field of material characterization and FE modelling in continuum mechanics. Ms. Zhaoyu Chen received her PhD in January 2014. Since 15.03.2019 Dr. Chen works at the Ear Research Center on the research project MyringoSeal with the topic "Development of a flexible technology for the implementation of biomimetric, long-term resorbable functional and stable tympanic membran implants" (link). |
Michael Nagel, M. Sc.
Mr. Nagel works on two projects on implantable sound transducers in the middle ear and is involved in programming and further developing various measurement software as well as optimizing test stands (Link). In addition, Mr. Nagel works as a research and development project manager in an engineering office in Dresden and does voluntary service in organizing and conducting international youth meetings in Europe. |
Dipl.-Ing. Philipp Kempert
After completing his mechanical engineering studies, Mr. Kempert works for ERCD. He is researching the reconstruction of the eardrum using alloplastic materials with the aid of FEM (link). In his spare time he works voluntarily for the youth of the German Alpine Club. |
